INCI: Hydroxyethylcellulosum 250 HX
Stirring Natrosol® 250 HX 1.5% into hot water produces a clear, viscous gel in seconds. For cold processing, it is best to pre-dissolve it in glycerine or alcohol. However, it is not suitable for surfactant-containing formulations. In this case we recommend xanthan (Cosphaderm® X34), as Natrosol® 250 HX unfortunately tends to "separate" more often.
Natrosol® 250 HX is used in wound gels, skin gels, lubricants and as a stabiliser in O/W emulsions.
