Essential organic tea tree oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and twigs of the tea tree. The essential organic tea tree oil is a slightly mobile, yellowish liquid. It has a herbaceous, fresh and eucalyptus-like smell. It is limited in its use as a fragrance.
The essential organic tea tree oil has an antiseptic and antimycotic effect on cosmetic products. It is therefore used for blackheads, acne and fungal infections. It is known for its cleansing and protective properties and is used as an active ingredient in shampoos, creams, lotions, soaps and bath additives. In aromatherapy it is used as an oil bath, massage oil or for inhalation.
