INCI: Kaolin
TERRAMATER products are 100% natural origin according to ISO 16128-1 and come from Brazil.
Alumina is a natural raw material of mineral origin, which is composed of extremely fine silica particles and several micro minerals. This mineral substance can contain various types of silicates and metals. For example: titanium, magnesium, copper, zinc, aluminium, calcium, potassium, nickel, manganese, lithium, sodium and iron.
The aluminas originate in sedimentary rocks that dissolve over years (on a scale of thousands of years) and under climatic processes and absorb metals and other constituents on their way to the valley, river or lake.
Production process:
(a) Mining in suitable locations under the control of the DNPM (National Department of Mineral production)
b) Drying in the sun to remove the natural moisture.
c) Grinding process without human contact.
d) Granulometric control by sieving.
e) Microbiological decontamination. Controlled heat pulses are used in this phase.
