Cistus hydrosol is known for its warm, herbaceous and resinous scent. Cistus hydrosol was already known in ancient Greece for its antibacterial and fungicidal effect, but also for its regenerating and firming effect. It is used especially for skin irritations such as eczema, itching and neurodermatitis and also for oily and impure skin. Due to its disinfecting effect, cistrose hydrolate can also be used in deodorants and foot baths. It is also used pure or mixed with other hydrosols as a face, body or room spray, in creams, lotions, shampoos and shower gels.
